Nepal is a land locked country and the nearest entry/exit port is Kolkota in India, which is approximately 1400 kilometers by road from Capital Kathmandu, Nepal.

Also kindly note that while preparing surface shipment for Nepal, please ensure the liftvan is sturdy and properly lined with waterproof. All shipments must be adequately waterproofed to avoid the damage due to lack of warehouse facilities in Kolkota port.


Sea Freight

Sea freight is used for the majority of overseas removals. Shipments are normally conveyed in steel shipping containers (either 20' or 40' in length) which carry the packed household effects. Containers are shipped with reliable shipping lines providing modern equipment and vessels and containers remain unopened until they arrive at their destination.

Sea freight is the most cost effective option for shipping anything from a single item to a full container load.

Air Freight

Though Nepal being a land locked country, it is linked by the various regional and International airlines to different neighboring cities.

Air freight is normally the preferred option for items for goods being shipped to a "difficult" destination where sea freight is not practical.
